Johannesburg - Ivory Moon Safari Lodge

Embark on an unforgettable safari adventure as you depart from Johannesburg OR Tambo International Airport at 07:00 am in a comfortable shared minivan transfer. Journey through the scenic Highveld and Lowveld regions of Mpumalanga, arriving at Ivory Moon Lodge at approximately 14:00. After a refreshing break, your adventure begins with an afternoon sunset game drive in the Greater Kruger’s Blue Canyon Reserve, exploring the wilderness in an open safari vehicle. Keep your eyes peeled for Africa’s iconic Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo—along with other remarkable wildlife such as giraffe, zebra, and hippo. As the sun sets over the savannah, enjoy sundowners in the bush before returning to the lodge for a delicious dinner and fireside storytelling beneath a starlit African sky.

Day 2

Full Day Safari Drive in the Kruger National Park

Following an early wake-up call, there will be time for tea or coffee and rusks before departing for a full day open vehicle safari drive from approximately 06:00 to 15:30. Brunch is included along your route, and your guide will also stop for you to purchase refreshments further during the day. Spend approximately 7 to 8 hours on a safari in Kruger, exploring the Orpen-Satara area for a heightened chance of encountering lions. Return to the Lodge, where you can unwind before a starlit dinner by the fire. Dinner is served under the stars (subject to availability) at the Private Lodge on the outskirts of the National Park.

Day 3

Full Day Panorama Route Tour

You’ll wake up early to be ready for your unforgettable Panorama Route tour, bringing a change of scenery to your exciting 5 day safari. The Panorama tour will take you along an exhilarating and iconic route where you will witness the following unforgettable landmarks: Berlin Falls God’s Window The Pinnacle 3 Rondawels Blyde River Canyon Your day may proceed in one of two ways: an early departure for the Panorama Route Tour with a breakfast along the route and an earlier return, or having breakfast at the lodge first, departing and returning later. On your return, you will have dinner under the stars (with a complementary glass of wine) every night, where you will share your experiences with others and make new friends.

Day 4

Morning Bush Walk - Return to Johannesburg

Embark on a 1.5-hour guided bushwalk through the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate, where you’ll explore the area’s diverse flora, fauna, and animal tracks while observing plains game up close with expert guidance. Afterwards, enjoy a hearty breakfast on the scenic deck before checking out and transferring back to Johannesburg’s OR Tambo International Airport.
